Biografía

After graduating from the Universidad de Navarra (2002), I began my career as as researcher in international history at the Instituto de Historia, CSIC, later earning a PhD in History from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2008). My postdoctoral stage took place in the United States, at Georgetown University (2009-2013), from where I joined the Centro Universitario de la Defensa-Academia General Militar, combining teaching and research for over a decade (2013-2023). I joined the CSIC as a Tenured Scientist in December 2023.

My work pays special attention to the various dimensions of the global projection of the United States, such as cultural trade and transfers, propaganda and public diplomacy, military assistance or the role of banks, private agents and financial and commercial networks.

Among others, I am a member of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR) and the Association of Contemporary History of Spain (AHC).
