Doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad del País Vasco (premio extraordinario), es profesor invitado en varias universidades y colaborador en el Instituto de Gobernanza Democrática Globernance [www.globernance.org]. Sus áreas de trabajo son la ética pública, la bioética, la lógica jurídica, los derechos humanos y la filosofía de la robótica y las TIC. [Miembro del OECD Expert Group on Research ethics and new forms of data for social and economic research]. Editor y autor de varias obras sobre estos temas, es Director de la revista electrónica de éticas aplicadas DILEMATA [www.dilemata.net]. En la actualidad forma parte de los equipos de investigación de INBOTS CSA network: Inclusive Robotics for a better Society [www.inbots.eu/], EXTEND: Bi-directional Hyper-connected Neural System [www.extend-project.eu/] y BIODAT: Datos en salud [umucebes.es/]. Vicepresidente de investigación para España de ASAP (Academics Stand Against Poverty) y Presidente de la Red Española de Filosofía [http://redfilosofia.es/]. Vocal independiente de la Comisión de Ética Pública del Gobierno Vasco y Patrono de la Fundación Clúster de Ética del País Vasco y de Estudios Jurídicos y Sociales (Fundación EJYS), colabora también en el Comité de Expertos sobre Envejecimiento de la Fundación General CSIC.

PhD in Philosophy (University of the Basque Country) and First Prize of the Year 2000. Invited Professor in several universities and researcher at the Institute for Democratic Governance Globernance. His research areas involve public ethics, bioethics, deontic logic, human rights, and philosophy of robotics and ICT. Editor and author of publications about this issues, is the Editor in Chief of the international journal DILEMATA on applied ethics [www.dilemata.net]. Independent Member of the Public Ethics Commission of the Basque Government and Patron of the Foundation Cluster Ethics of the Basque Country and of Legal and Social Studies (EJYS Foundation), he also collaborates in the Committee of Experts on Aging of the Fundación General CSIC.
